February Mood

A wrap up of this full month. It started with a trip to Olympia, WA to celebrate mine and my two youngest children's birthdays. We celebrated Valentine's Day with 2ish days of snow in PDX finally! Our rescheduled Valentine exchange with a group of homeschool kids happened today on the final day of the month. I am just getting to this post today as well because mercury retrograde has been a doozy for me as the backlight on my laptop went out, which turned into a whole saga, and now here I am typing this on a new laptop. Long story short I am not a fan of Apple, but what is the alternative? Learn to use Microsoft again? And they can't be much better when it comes to customer service and repairs. So I guess this is what happens when there is pretty much a monoply on computers with only two major providers. On a lighter note, here are the highlights of the last month!

These white chocolate cranberry cookies were amazing! I only had about half the amount of cranberries it called for in my freezer so I reduced the flour by a 1/2 cup and they turned out perfect. Probably better for kids that way too. Click to get the recipe!

The altar from our snow moon gathering. I have organized two full moon gatherings now for women and children and they have been everything I didn't know I needed. We do a craft, the kids play, we have a potluck, we sing and do a ritual and share whatever it is we want to release. I am so excited to keep doing these. I am sharing the invitation for the next one below, reach out if you are local to PDX and want to join.

I finally found some great smelling candles without fragrance or essential oils. Wild Oaks Apothecary makes beeswax and tallow candles scented with herbs and spices. I will link them when I update the Shop page, in the meantime click to check them out. I got their yarrow spray, winter tallow and vanilla serum and they all smell divine.

I love these thin silk scrunchies from Slip instead of hair ties. I lost them all or they got stretched out a long time ago, but these really last longer then hair ties and feel much better on your hair and wrist. You can find them for like half the price as Amazon at Nordstrom Rack, click to go there.

We made these paper heart garlands at the snow moon gathering. They are such a simple craft for valentine's day and a great way to use up scraps of wrapping paper! Click to go to the reel from @woodlark.
